  Bar swimming with spilt drinks and despite me pointing this out the barmaid still did wipe it. I had to get Napkins and go it myself to avoid getting my dress wet. All staff seemed to be more concerned with serving customers rather than keeping the place tidy

  We have been overcharged by £260, and despite contacting the hotel several times they appear to be avoiding dealing with this. We have been charged £390 for 1 night B&B for two. The agreed price for one night B&B was £130 which we paid by debit card (£20 deposit and £110 on departure). On arrival we were asked for a swipe of our credit card as security against any additional charges such as drinks charged to the room. We had no additional charges and were told that nothing would taken from our credit card. We now find that they have charged £260 to our credit card and refusing to acknowledge this is a mistake.
  Below is my original review before we knew they had overcharged.
  We were staying at the Torrance Hotel overnight as part of a wedding party. We were disappointed with our stay considering the cost of £130 B&B for two. Although the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was one of the poorest I've had (this includes many budget hotels). The coffee was cold, the quality of the food was poor and the single member of staff present didn't seem to care. Our feelings were that this hotel has a very busy restaurant and bar (requiring a number of security personnel) and overnight guests are a bit of an afterthought.
